The six birds over Cardonald Gardens first thing were not, unfortunately House Martins but Swifts. I am almost reconciled to the fact that the small nesting colony of recent years has become extinct. The warm weather in wcs continues, although a thunderstorm in Inverclyde caused the closure of the A8 and led to a long diversion via Largs.
