Over 150 Jackdaws were feeding on the stubble fields behind Cairn Hill along with two Stock Doves, 25 Feral Pigeons and assorted other corvids and doves. Later, around half of the Jackdaws formed a tight flock to mob a passing Buzzard (my first for the square). Few birds were on the river, the exception being a Grey Wagtail (another first for the square).News from the web is of a flock of Twite in the Rhubarb field at Arkleston Farm..
