Modern life in Scotland is increasingly busy. The connections our ancestors had with nature and the land are being lost. A busy day of driving today with appointments in Ayr, Greenock and Hamilton. The wet weather didn't make for the most pleasant of driving conditions. However five Red breasted Mergansers were "snorkelling" in the lagoon south of Fairlie and a female there had nine young.
