Heading up to Paisley this afternoon, around 200 Lapwings and 50 Curlews had been driven onto the roadside fields at Fornet Cottage by the high tide.

"The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls".

So that's what they were! I was wondering and was actually thinking of sending you a message to ask if you knew what they were. I saw them when I drove past yesterday morning
Hard to make out at 70mph!
I think they normally huddle along the beach but the tide was so high that day, there must have been no beach left uncovered.
