As I moved the family wheelie-bin yesterday, a ground beetle scurried
away. A few days earlier, my neighbour commented that he had seen many
more bees on his lawn (attracted to White Clover flowers) this year than
in previous years. And along the Speyside Way on Saturday I saw
something which I have rarely experienced in the UK - clouds of moths
and other insects rising from the ground ahead of my footsteps.
Unrelated events, and in themselves unremarkable, but perhaps evidence
of nature's capacity to bounce back and abound when given half a chance.
