Natural Connections

Modern life in Scotland is increasingly busy. The connections our ancestors had with nature and the land are being lost. As leisure time shrinks, or is filled with hi-tech experiences, opportunities to experience nature become fewer. And yet it is possible to connect with nature on a day to day basis. A drive through the Sma' Glen today produced some notable birds including two fly-through Sand Martins, singing Cuckoo and Ring Ouzel and hunting Kestrel (2) and Buzzard. Aberfeldy had House Martin, Swallow, Dipper and a rookery with 30+ nests. Pitlochry at dusk had a singing Song Thrush competing with 10+ Blackbirds.
