A walk through Bankside this evening produced a Ring-necked Parakeet calling from trees behind the gallery and lots of Black-headed and Lesser Black-backed Gulls over the river.

"The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls".

Hi Stuart, still enjoying your daily blogs! Can you tell me, where is Bankside? I'm trying to record all Clyde area reports of Ring-necked Parakeets. I can't believe all the received wisdom (i.e. lies and nonsense) which is leading to mass culls down south.
