Natural Connections

Modern life in Scotland is increasingly busy. The connections our ancestors had with nature and the land are being lost. As leisure time shrinks, or is filled with hi-tech experiences, opportunities to experience nature become fewer. And yet it is possible to connect with nature on a day to day basis. Some new records for the garden feeders today consisted of six Bullfinches, seven Chaffinches (there seems to have been an influx of these locally) and three Collared Doves.A walk along the river late afternoon found the first three Goosanders back on the river at the Cardonald Place Farm Bridge and a Cormorant (also the first of the winter) circling over Moulin.
