I caught the first bus down the coast today and had a nice walk in the sunshine before heading home to my tasks for the day. Best bird was a drake Red-breasted Merganser, a distant Black Guillemot and a group of ten Redshanks. The first two were in full breeding plumage, the latter still in its dull winter plumage with the colour of the beak and legs still to develop.
