Natural Connections

Modern life in Scotland is increasingly busy. The connections our ancestors had with nature and the land are being lost. As leisure time shrinks, or is filled with hi-tech experiences, opportunities to experience nature become fewer. And yet it is possible to connect with nature on a day to day basis. Spent a mild and windless afternoon in the Yetts of Muckart - Rumbling Bridge - Crook of Devon triangle. Bird highlights included two Dippers on the river and a cloud of Jackaws around the bridge itself. Other notable connections included a colony of Fly Agaric (with a few Boletus) under the pines in Lendrick Muir car park.
