Highlight of a sunny work day was a big female Sparrowhawk which glided over the M8 at Hillington, showing the white base to its tail.

For the first time in a couple of years, a robin appeared in the garden this afternoon. It came within a few feet of me as I cleared the weeds and debris of the summer from under the lilac trees. Hope he will stay.
