I headed out before six this morning to see what birds were about between Kincraig and Speybank. Most notable were a singing Grasshopper Warbler and a newly-fledged Lapwing. Later in the morning, a Dipper was the highlight of a walk along the river west of Carrbridge. This afternoon, a walk up Tor Alvie produced singing Redstart and Lesser Whitethroat.

"The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls".
