Today was mostly taken up travelling from Buckie to Wick.
The weather wasn’t really conducive to natural connections. However a walk
around the town produced four Redshanks along the river, Biting Stonecrop on
the masonry of an old well and two Swifts zooming round some ordinary houses
before one entered a gap under the roof of one of them. OR: Two Swifts were
calling over Well Road, Buckie first thing. At the other end of the day, two
more were over Willowbank in Wick with one of the birds entering a probable
nest site on one of the cottage flats.
