I got in on the Waxwing act today. I happened to be in Shawlands when news came through (via the Birds in Clyde Whatsapp group) that a flock had been seen in Govanhill Park. With that site being only a mile away, it would have been rude not to go. When we arrived, around 50 were in the top of one of the tall trees at the "top" end of the park. There was quite a lot of calling, some fly-catching and some commuting between nearby trees. After about ten minutes, most of the flock flew off strongly to the east.
