A walk along the canal in Clydebank in warm sunshine this morning found lots of juvenile House Sparrows on the wing and careering here and there, still not having completely mastered the power of flight. A pair of Mute Swans had a single young and three Moorhen pairs probably had nests on the short stretch I walked. A large wild rose bush on the canal bank had dozens of bees buzzing around it collecting pollen. A single Common Blue Damselfly was over the path. Yellow Flag Irises and Yellow Water Lilies provided the main colour.
