Today brought a break in the weather (at long last) and the opportunity to spend a few hours walking around Mugdock Park. As usual, Mugdock Loch was the most productive area with Mute Swan, Goosander, Goldeneye, Tufted Duck, Mallard, Cormorant and Grey Heron all present. Three Song Thrushes and three Blackbirds were feeding on a small patch of woodland floor west of the castle. Nearby, the first Snowdrop leaves had appeared. Birds over Peitches Moor included Meadow Pipit, Goldfinch and Raven.
