My first Orange Tip butterfly of the year flew through the back garden this lunchtime, not long after a Peacock butterfly was sunning itself on the deck. All the usual birds were along the river this afternoon, with Kingfisher, Hooded Crow x Carrion Crow hybrid and two singing Goldcrests the most notable. New plants in flower today consisted of Ramsons and Perennial Honesty.
