I spent most of the day in the West End of Glasgow so tried to do a bit of birdwatching as I went along. One of the adult Peregrines was calling as it flew around the Glasgow University tower. A Mallard duck on the river had eight ducklings. Four "female-type" Goosanders nearby could possibly have been this year's juveniles but I thought were more likely to be non-or failed breeders.
